After having to reschedule their wedding due to the dreaded COVID 19 pandemic, bride Paulina decided to go for a whole new look and feel for her wedding. Her vision of English Garden party meets modern Bridgerton aesthetic turned the heads of so many as it graced the front pages of wedding blogs such as Over the Moon and even that of designer Monique Lhuillier, in her design of what Paulina called her “modern day Marie Antoinette with a twist” Jardin gown.
This unique vision all began with Foundry Paper Co. and their incredible invitation suite that carried through to the day of the wedding. Where I came in was by helping Paulina achieve this soft, beautiful look that was truly effortless. To compliment her gown as well as her own stunning features we kept it super natural- we wanted to kept the focus on glowing from within. In conjunction with Maradee Wahl, a hairstylist from Beauty Bespoken, we gave her the timeless, romantic look she was seeking.
On July 8, 2021, the outdoor ceremony space was designed to emulate an open-air church, accented in gorgeous florals by Plenty of Petals. The reception overlooked the ocean from the roof top of L’Auberge Del Mar, but the table settings sure gave mother nature a run for her money! The La Tavola Fine Linen embroidered tablecloths, set with Monique Lhuillier Tuileries napkins that matched Paulina’s dress and lace-rimmed chargers by Casa de Perrin turned the tables into a true English dining table. The icing on the cake was quite literally the gorgeous floral and ribbon cake by Hey There Cupcake, but this couldn’t have all been made possible without their wedding planner, Dani Blasena of HauteFêtes, who literally brought this modern English Garden party vision to life.
